STANDARD TERMS OF BUSINESS
(Effective from January 1st 2007 , superseding any previous terms)
1) All prices in the catalogue EXCLUDE VAT. Where applicable, VAT will be added at the STANDARD RATE (currently 15%) to the catalogue prices. Children's clothing up to 32" chest, 28" waist, and shoe size 6 is ZERO RATED. VAT is chargeable at the FULL UK rate to EEC customers who cannot provide a VAT registration number for their own country. VAT is not chargeable to BFPO numbers, and to Channel Islands , and to countries outside EEC .
2) All prices in the catalogue are INCLUSIVE of DESIGN WORK , SCREEN CHARGES and PRINTING COSTS involved in the completion of the one or two single coloured prints included in the garment price, unless specifically advised at the time of order. Embroidered designs are subject to a "one time" initiation charge.
ALL DESIGNS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF WHITE KNIGHTS, who may use them for advertising purposes as are reasonable. The customer shall in all cases ascertain the rights to use their required designs, crests, logos, trademarks that may be subject to copyright, patent, etc., before instructing White Knights to their use.
3) White Knights retain TITLE TO ALL GOODS UNTIL THEY ARE PAID FOR IN FULL . All prices in the catalogue are based on cleared payments for goods before despatch of goods. Payment is always due in £ sterling, and White Knights will pass on any Bank or other charges incurred in obtaining this settlement. Invoices are due for payment at the time stated on the invoice. White Knights will charge interest at 4% above M.L.R. on any invoices not paid at the stated due date. For credit card payments, White Knights reserve the right to pass on the 3% charge levied by credit card companies.
4) All prices in the catalogue are "EX-WORKS". No carriage is charged on orders collected from our factory. For orders despatched by post, van or courier, a charge of £10.00 per box is added to the to the invoice total. Special Carriage charges, such as AIR FREIGHT, Royal Mail "DATAPOST", British Rail "RED STAR " parcel, and SATURDAY DELIVERY, are charged AT COST extra. Pre-Payment saving - FOR PAYMENTS MADE IN FULL AT THE TIME OF ORDER, U.K. MAINLAND ADDRESSES ONLY, STANDARD CARRIAGE CHARGES WILL BE PAID FOR BY WHITE KNIGHTS.
5) All prices are subject to alteration without notice, and White Knights reserve the right to pass on special price changes due to unforeseen circumstances, as long as these are notified to the customer at the time of order. Such written quotations that may be provided for special orders remain firm for a period of 30 days from the date of quotation, whereupon White Knights reserve the right to amend such quotation.
6) All goods are offered subject to availability, and White Knights reserve the right to substitute garments of equivalent quality should those described in the catalogue be unavailable. Every attempt will be made to effect delivery by a particular date, but time will never be "OF THE ESSENCE" of any contract unless so specified at the time of acceptance of order in writing by White Knights. Despatch ex-works constitutes completion of order, and subsequent delays by carriers fall outside the contractual obligations of White Knights.
7) Every attempt is made to maintain colour shades of garments and print within an order, and from one order to the next, but White Knights point out that variations due to dye processes may be unavoidable.
8) NO MATERIALS OR GARMENTS CAN BE GUARANTEED AGAINST SHRINKAGE, OR COLOUR RUN , HOWEVER CAUSED. White Knights draw customers attention to the washing instructions on the garment label, or packet, and particularly to the washing instructions guidance on COTTON GARMENTS, together with ironing instructions. White Knights draw customers' attention to the risks in using Biological Powder with mixed colour garments.
Most printed garments MUST NOT BE IRONED DIRECTLY on the design, and should be ironed only on the reverse side to avoid damage to the design.
9) In any event, White Knights' liability may be limited to the replacement or cost of goods supplied, and NO CLAIMS FOR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS IN ANY FORM WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
10) Any work carried out on customers' own garments is undertaken entirely at the customer's risk.
